IMPROVE YOUR PRONUNCIATION

Correct pronunciation is essential if you want to be understood when you speak. So what can you do to improve? For some extra practice, the BBC website for foreign students might be of interest. There you can see charts with the phonetic symbols, listen to and repeat individual sounds, see the most common spellings for each sound while you listen to words containing them, practise connected speech, etc. You should visit these two websites regularly and do the exercises again and again until you can pronounce the sounds accurately.

Here you can find a wide range of resources to practise phonetics the fun way.

Here you can find some very useful advice on how to improve your pronunciation. It´s meant for Spanish students of English, so it´s perfect for you.

Last but not least we have English Central, the website I told you about in class. You have to register (it´s free) and choose a level (intermediate. In Intermediate there are several levels, so try to find something you feel comfortable with). You can watch the videos with subtitles, learn vocabulary and record yourself saying some of the sentences with appeared on the video.
Happy practice! 😉
